Going to the Ballet

Our first Adult Class went very well and I'm thrilled we are already organising the Adult Class's first visit to see a ballet.

This visit is open to our Adult Class, parents of children enrolled in our classes, and any friend that would like to join us. Please note this is not suitable for young children.

We are going to the Royal Opera House to see the premiere of the ballet bellow and I will do a Guided Visit.

Obsidian Tear / The Invitation / Within The Golden Hour

Royal Opera House

Saturday, 28 May 7.00pm

Details of the event:

This ballet is a triple bill, which means a night with three different works and, in this case, three different choreographers. This ballet includes the world premiere of Obsidian Tear of Wayne McGregor, the most well-known, avant-garde choreographer of today.

Guided Visit

Prior to the ballet, we will meet at a cafe (place and time to be confirmed close to the date) near the Royal Opera House and I will introduce you:
  • the ballets we are about to see
  • the choreographers Wayne McGregor, Kenneth McMillan and Christopher Wheeldon
  • the Royal Opera House and its work

The advance booking for Friends is open, I have membership and I am able to book the tickets for us. The earliest you book the tickets, the best seats you get.
